Shine! (Matthew 17:1-9)

We come to Transfiguration Sunday and the end of our Great Invitation series.  All along the way we have been challenged to obey the command of Christ to go make disciples of all nations... but have we?  And if not, is there any reason that we ought to obey the word of Christ?  We find out in today's episode.

This, Not That - Part 1 (Matthew 5:21-37)

Jesus begins to pick apart the contemporary interpretation of God's law by saying "You've heard that it was said... But I say to you..." both affirming the validity of the written word and his own authority as the Son of God.

Salt and Light and Righteousness Abounding (Matthew 5:13-20)

Follow Me (Matthew 4:12-23)

Why did Jesus call fishermen to become his first disciples, calling them into ministry from their previous vocation?  As it turns out, God often calls the workers in His kingdom from ordinary people, not just from the priesthood.

A Prayer for Trump

Special Edition: Just the name "Donald Trump" causes vastly different reactions in people, especially among Americans who either voted for or against him last November.  This past Sunday we prayed earnestly for our new President, and call upon others to pray for him as well.

Come and See (John 1:29-42)

We don't have to have all the answers as evangelists.  All we have to do is to bring them, and Jesus will make them see.

Believing God’s Justice (1 Kings 21)

It seems like everyone today wants justice where it is deserved, except when it comes to themselves.  Then they cry out for mercy.  To the outside it seems that justice fails when it comes to Grace, but in today's podcast we will see how grace, especially God's grace, is impossible without justice.

The Heavens Are Opened (Matthew 3:13-17)

The first Sunday after Epiphany is called "Baptism of the Lord," and on it we remember both Jesus' baptism and our own.  In today's episode we will examine what baptism is, what it means, and why it was necessary for Jesus to be baptized.
